Louis Myers' heartbroken family release first picture of 20-year-old killed on A64 Leeds days after Christmas

The family of a young Leeds man who died after he was hit by a car while crossing the road have released a picture of him.

Louis Joe Malachy Myers was fatally injured when he was hit by a blue Vauxhall Crossland while crossing A64 York Road near the junction with Moresdale Lane at about 5.20pm on December 30.

Emergency services including West Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service attended the scene.

The 20-year-old was given medical treatment at the scene before he was taken to the hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it, particularly anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101 quoting reference 13210672133 or online.
