Louis Ducruet's message after taking up new role at Nottingham Forest

Louis Ducruet says he is “ready for this new challenge” after taking up a role at Nottingham Forest.

The 27-year-old, who is the son of Princess Stephanie of Monaco and is 15th in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne, has joined the Reds as an advisor for international projects.

He will work on expanding the club’s global presence, meaning he will not be involved in the football department at the City Ground.

Ducruet makes the move after leaving AS Monaco this summer, and posted about his appointment on Instagram.

Alongside a picture of himself at the City Ground, he wrote: “It is a great pleasure for me to announce that I’m joining officially @officialnffc!

“I’m glad to join such historical club, I’m ready for this new challenge!

“Let’s go Reds! COYR! #nffc”

Ducruet spent five years at Monaco. He had started off in the marketing department, before moving on to be an international recruiter and assistant to the vice-president and general manager.

After his departure from Monaco, he was quickly linked with a move to Forest, as well as fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned side Olympiacos.

Reports in France suggest he had also been approached by clubs in Switzerland and Belgium, before agreeing to join the Reds on a two-year deal.
