Loughborough firm needs 260 gift set packers

A Leicestershire business needs 260 temp staff to pack Christmas gift sets for high street stores.

Contract packer Lemonpath Limited has launched the recruitment drive early to meet the seasonal demand for its services.

It is looking for everything from gift set packers, order pickers, support staff, warehouse operatives and forklift drivers for its Loughborough operation.

The business has brought in industrial recruitment specialist Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment – which has offices in , and Chesterfield – to help fill the roles.

Thorn Baker is the only agency managing the recruitment and has a dedicated office on site at Lemonpath, thanks to a partnership that has been established over the last nine years.

Lemonpath has 300,000 sq ft of warehousing and operates in markets including fashion, food, retail, gift, garden, print, point of sale, DIY and wholesale.

It also provides services such as hand assembly, remedial and rectification work and quality control as well as warehousing and distribution.

Lemonpath operations director Andrew Kingston said: “We have worked with Thorn Baker for many years to fulfil our recruitment needs.

“Its specialist industrial division is able to provide consistently high quality and reliable members of staff to help us build our team all year round, plus expand our workforce during peak times.”

Richard Borland, branch manager at Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment, said: “It is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for a job to get a full or part time position in the run up to Christmas, at a great company who really look after their staff.

“Some of the roles are seasonal. Over the last few years Lemonpath have taken on a number of staff permanently from us.”

Lemonpath was acquired by Rugby contract packaging specialist DK Group in 2016 and has continued to grow with existing and new clients.

As part of its growth strategy Chris Antliff was made chairman and group special projects executive in February while Paul Price was promoted to managing director.

Thorn Baker Industrial is one of three divisions of Thorn Baker Group – which was established in Nottingham in 1988 – along with Thorn Baker Construction and Thorn Baker Estates, Facilities and Maintenance.

The group manages recruitment for companies across the UK, placing more than 30,000 candidates in jobs annually.
