Loudmouth Jamie O'Hara in 'touchy' Celtic fan blast as pundit pitches dethroning Rangers scenario

Shock jock Jamie O'Hara has taken a dig at Celtic fans at their reaction to being sent crashing out of the Champions League.

It was a tough night for the Parkhead supporters as they watched their sides group stage dreams brought to an abrupt halt by Midtjylland on Wednesday.

It compounds a slow recruitment strategy following the arrival Ange Postecoglou and sets the season off on a sour note ahead of Celtic's first Premiership fixture against Hearts.

However, former Tottenham midfielder O'Hara told talkSPORT's Sports Breakfast that it was an overreaction from punters as they wouldn't have made the group stage anyway.

He added that the disappointment in Denmark wouldn't matter if Postecoglou takes the title from Rangers.

In an on-air clash with Alan Brazil, he said: “What are the chances of them actually progressing through the Champions League anyway?

Brazil confirmed: “No chance.”

O'Hara responded: “Exactly. So now they’re out of it, they can concentrate on the league.

“If they win the league then everyone’s going to be happy.

“They’re so touchy up there though, the fans."

Celtic diehard Brazil was quick to defend the fans, commenting: “They’re not touchy.

"They’re great fans. You’d love to play in front of them, don’t worry about that. They are the best, bar none."

O’Hara quipped: “Oh, I don’t know about that.”
