Lou Anarumo reveals talks with Bengals had been going for a while

It turns out Zac Taylor and the Cincinnati Bengals had been making plenty of headway behind the scenes.

New Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo touched on several topics while meeting with the media, though perhaps most notably revealed he and Taylor had talked for a while:

Lou Anarumo told us his conversations with Zac Taylor began "a week ago or so." Called him a good friend.

Keep in mind this was going on in the background while the public knew about failed flirtations with guys like Todd Grantham and others that didn’t even accept chances to interview.

Anarumo and Taylor go back to their days together in Miami in a bond that is clearly strong. Among plenty of other fun facts, the new coordinator reiterated his desire to remain in a base 4-3 of sorts while prioritizing a multiple look to match league trends.
