Lotus Biscoff lasagne is a thing - and it needs just five ingredients

A sweet treat in lasagne form doesn't sound like the most enticing of ideas. But WAIT until you see it.

Lockdown has turned everyone into an amateur baker and plenty of recipes involving Lotus Biscoff have been doing the rounds.

And this latest one could not be easier to make but will make even those with the sweetest of tooths feel an immediate sugar rush.

Thanks to food blogger Walla Abu-Eid, people are going crazy for the Lotus Biscoff lasagne which uses both the biscuits AND the spread.

Walla shared pictures of the delicious looking dessert to her Instagram page and of course, everyone wanted to get involved.

And not only is it easy to make, it only needs five ingredients and that is the kind of simplicity we need in our lives, right?

So, the ingredients you need are:

  • 3-4 packets Biscoff biscuits - depending on the size of your tray
  • 600ml thickened cream
  • Dash of vanilla
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Half a jar Biscoff spread

And this is your step by step guide to making it:

1. Pop your cream, sugar and vanilla into a bowl and whip it until it forms soft peaks.

2. Blitz your Biscoff spread in the microwave until melted.

3. In a tray add a layer of Biscoff biscuits, and then place a layer of cream over the top, and drizzle generously with Biscoff spread.

4. Repeat these steps until you have the number of layers you desire and top the final layer with cream.

5. To a piping bag add some of your Biscoff spread and carefully pipe lines on top of the cream in any pattern you wish - but if you want to recreate ..... use a skewer to create lines.

6. Put in the fridge for six hours or overnight, then serve.

And there you have it. When are you going to give this a go?
