Lotto winner denied £4m scratchcard fortune says his life is 'ruined' as trolls brand him 'scum'

A Lotto winner who had his £4million prize money withheld said he is now " depressed " after being mocked online.

Jon-Ross Watson and his pal Mark Goodram were thrown into the limelight after purchasing a £10 scratchcard .

Camelot refused to pay out after a probe took the view the pair has not paid for the ticket with their own money as neither of them had bank accounts.

Watson has now revealed he is suffering from depression.

He told The Bolton News : "In a way, it has ruined my life.

"People have been calling me a scumbag and laughing at me."

The 31-year-old says he can't go anywhere in Bolton as people will laugh at him.

He said he gets called a "scum bag" online as well.

Watson's pal Mark Goodram , and fellow suspected "scratchcard scammer", was reported to be homeless in May after his pal said she had kicked him out of her flat.

After "winning" the award the pair were snapped on a four-day bender in London with magnums of Champagne and a fistful of £50 notes.

The pair say they want the police to investigate Camelot after their win was denied.

They've launched a bid to sue the company, with a barrister saying they've been left "starving" with no money.

Since losing out on the £4m, Watson said: "The money is the root of all evil but I don't want to be robbed of £4 million."
