Lotto urges Dublin players to check tickets as two people scoop combined €837,000 in EuroMillions prizes

Two punters shared a combined €837,000 after scooping prizes in Friday's EuroMillions draw.

The players, both living in Dublin, bought their golden tickets yesterday.

One player, who won a cool €337,142, matched five numbers and one lucky star, meaning they were just one number away from sharing the €51million jackpot, which was won in Spain.

They got their Quick Pick ticket at Centra on Main Street in Howth.

The winning numbers of the main draw were 02, 24, 39, 45, 46 and the two lucky star numbers were 04 and 08.

On the other side of the Liffey, another punter won a tidy €500,000 after bagging the EuroMillions Plus top prize.

This ticket was sold at Mace on Kimmage Road Lower, Dublin 12.

A Lotto spokesman said: “It would have been fantastic to get Ireland’s sixteenth EuroMillion jackpot winner last night and one person in North Dublin was so close to doing that.

"However, a prize of €337,142 is still a really nice prize to win on this rainy morning.

"We are asking all our Dublin players to get checking those tickets to see if you have won of these big prizes.

"If you are one of those two lucky ticketholders, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and please contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements to get your prize.”
