Seventeen players have come away with a tidy sum of money from Saturday night’s Lotto draw as €8.8 million went up for grabs.
Although the top prize went unclaimed this evening, players will have another chance at an even higher jackpot next Wednesday.
Those who match five numbers on December 17 will be able to collect their winnings worth a cool €1,944 each.

The numbers to compare your ticket with in the main draw were as follows: 23, 24, 37, 42, 45, 46, and the bonus number 20.
In Lotto Plus 1, the top prize was €500, which was claimed by thirty-three people who matched five numbers in that draw.
The numbers called in this draw were: 11, 14, 17, 19, 21, and 28 with the bonus number 30.
Lotto Plus 2 saw eighteen people heading home with prizes equalling €250 each after they matched five numbers in the evening draw.
The numbers called here were: 1, 4, 20, 26, 27, and 46 with the bonus number 38.
The next Lotto draw will take place on Wednesday, December 21 so make sure you purchase your tickets in advance of the draw - the cut-off point on the day of the draw is 7:45 pm.
