Lotto results Ireland: No winner in tonight's record-breaking jackpot

There was no lucky winner of tonight's record breaking jackpot of €19.06 million.

Lotto players had been holding their breath in anticipation to see who would pocket the massive life-changing sum.

Although there were no winners of the top prize, 247,000 players around the country won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.

Two Dubliners had a Saturday night to remember, winning €826,392 each by matching 5 and the bonus number in tonight’s draw

This record-breaking jackpot was set to be the highest Lotto prize ever if won tonight.

The jackpot is now capped, this means that no additional money will be added to the jackpot prize until it is won.

The funds that would normally go to the jackpot will now be distributed to the next lower prize tier at which there are winners.

Excited players experienced technical difficulties with the National Lottery website and app earlier this evening due to high traffic volumes.

The Irish National Lottery tweeted: "Due to high traffic volumes, we are experiencing some technical difficulties with our website and app.

"Our technical teams are currently working to rectify the issue. Thank you for your patience while we try and resolve the issue."
