Lotto results Ireland: Family-owned shop in Clontarf sells winning €1 million ticket

A popular north Dublin newsagent sold the winning ticket for last Saturday's €1 million Lotto Plus 1 draw.

The National Lottery revealed that Cleary’s Mace store on St. Gabriel’s Road in Clontarf, Dublin 3 is the store where this lucky player bought their winning Quick Pick Lotto ticket.

Darren Cleary, who runs the family-run store for his parents Fred and Mary, was overjoyed to hear that one of their local customers could be Ireland’s latest Lotto millionaire.

He said: “We are absolutely thrilled.

"The store is situated in the heart of the community here in Clontarf, so we are hoping that the winner is from the St. Gabriel’s Parish.

"We have been spreading the word this morning for everyone to check their tickets so there is a great buzz about the place today. It is a great day for the town.”

The National Lottery has confirmed that the Clontarf Lotto player who has become Ireland’s 14th National Lottery millionaire of 2022 has yet to make contact to claim their prize.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We have yet to hear from this lucky winner, so we are asking all our Lotto players who bought a ticket for Saturday’s draw to check their tickets very carefully.

"If you do happen to be this lucky winner, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements to get your prize.”

The winning numbers in Saturday’s (19th March) Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 04, 05, 06, 29, 46, 47 and the bonus 01.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language.

In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago.
