A second Dubliner also scooped a life changing prize during Saturday's draw after matching 5 numbers and the bonus.

The ticket was purchased in Dunnes Stores in Cornelscourt Shopping Centre in Foxrock, Dublin 18 and the prize of almost €100,000 will be shared with a player in Offaly who was also a Match 5 + Bonus winner.

A spokeswoman for the National Lottery urged players in Dublin to check their tickets carefully.

She said: "We are appealing to all of our Lotto players who may have purchased their ticket for Saturday night’s draw in Dublin City Centre to check their tickets carefully.

"The Dublin player has officially become Ireland’s newest Lotto millionaire and now has a ticket worth the astonishing amount of €5,365,262.

"We are advising the winner to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should make contact with our prize claims team who will make arrangements for them to claim their life-changing prize.”
