Lotto results Ireland: Drimnagh store celebrates after selling €1 million prize
A busy south Dublin store were celebrating today after they made one lucky customer €1 million richer over the weekend.
Centra on the Drimnagh Road in Dublin 12 has been confirmed as the location where Saturday night’s Lotto Plus 1 top prize was sold.
Store owner Ian Coughlan, was delighted to hear that one of his customers was the biggest winner in Saturday night’s draw
He said: “Our store serves a wide community which includes a lot of local customers as well as people passing through from the nearby hospital and different businesses so hopefully the winner has realised their good luck and is now enjoying the celebrations.
"We have a team of 20 working here in the shop so we are all absolutely delighted to hear that one of our customers was a top prize winner as this is the biggest prize amount that we have ever sold.
"It certainly is an exciting time and great news to get. We all wish the winner the very best with their €1 million win.”
The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on the day of the draw and the National Lottery are now urging players in the area to check their tickets to see if they are the lucky winner.
The winning ticket holder is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place.
They should contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email@example.com to make arrangements to claim their prize.
Meanwhile, there was no winner of Saturday night’s astonishing €14,945,893 Lotto jackpot, meaning Wednesday's draw will roll over to an eye-watering €15.5 million.
There have only been five jackpots over €15 million since the Lotto began in 1988 and a single winner on Wednesday's draw would become the biggest winner in over 10 years.
The last time the prize exceeded €15 million was in October 2010 when a Dublin winner scooped the life-changing amount of €16,390,239.
