Lotto results Ireland: Bosses confirm where €33,000 tickets were sold in Dublin

By Kim oLeary

National Lottery bosses have confirmed the locations of five winning tickets after Saturday's Lotto draw.

Saturday night’s Lotto draw saw 24 players across the country enjoy a boosted prize fund at the Match 5 prize tier, which includes five Dublin winners, two players who won online and three players who bought their tickets in shops.

As the Lotto jackpot remains capped, this means that the funds that would usually be added to the jackpot are instead distributed to the next prize tier at which there is a winner.

Since there was no winner of the Match 5 + Bonus category in Saturday’s draw, the additional funds were added to the next tier with a winner which was the Match 5 prize tier.

The 24 biggest winners of the night purchased their tickets in 13 different counties and will now go on to claim €33,181 each after matching five numbers.

The winning numbers from Saturday 8th January were: 04, 08, 19, 35, 36, 41 and the bonus was 23.

Two Dublin players won €33,181 after playing online when they both matched five numbers.

The three winning lotto tickets were sold in:

  • Spar, 119 Beaemor Road, Churchtown, Dublin
  • Ttuthils, 19/20 Northside Shopping Centre, Oscar Traynor Road, Dublin 17
  • Tom Stanley, Unit 254 Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Blanchardstown, Dublin

The National Lottery have urged players to check their tickets carefully and for the 24 winners to sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe.

The lucky winners, who purchased their tickets in-store and online, should make contact with the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prizes.
