The Lotto jackpot is heading towards another record-breaking amount - with Saturday's draw offering one lucky punter the chance to become Ireland's 10th highest Lotto jackpot winner ever.
So far this year, there have been five Lotto jackpot winners in Limerick, Kilkenny, Westmeath, Cork and Galway.
If the massive €13.5 million jackpot is won tomorrow night, one lucky player could be joining the roll call of winners for 2021, becoming the 6th Lotto jackpot winner of the year.
And if they do, they'll join the roll of honour of high-jackpot winners since the draw launched in 1998.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “This could certainly be one of the most memorable weekends for one lucky Lotto player! If the jackpot is won tomorrow night, the next Lotto winner will take on the title of 10th highest Lotto jackpot winner ever in the history of the game.
"As we get closer to this potentially life-changing draw, we are urging our players to buy their tickets early in order to avoid queues and to follow public health guidelines. We are reminding Lotto players that tickets can be purchased in-store, in-app and at www.lottery.ie ahead of the cut-off time for ticket sales at 7.45pm tomorrow evening.”
