Lotto Ireland: Sixth largest jackpot up for grabs tonight with €15.5 million on the line

By Aakanksha Surve

Lotto frenzy has gripped Ireland as a whopping €15.5 million is up for grabs tonight.

If won, this could be the sixth largest lotto prize ever to be scooped up since the game was launched in Ireland in 1988.

The current jackpot roll has continued for three months since Wednesday, June 9.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “This is truly an incredible three-month-long jackpot roll and we are seeing huge excitement from our players in stores throughout the country with our retail partners reporting brisk sales already in the hours leading up to tonight’s draw.

"We are encouraging all of our players who are dreaming of winning this life-changing amount to follow public health guidance and to avoid queues by purchasing their tickets early in-store, in-app or on www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales."
