Lotto bosses reveal lucky Cork winner of €5.3m Lotto jackpot has made contact

Lotto bosses have revealed that the lucky winner of the €5.3m Lotto jackpot has made contact with them.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on the day of the draw, last Saturday, at the Centra store on the Main Street, Innishannon, Co. Cork.

It's the seventh Lotto jackpot win of 2019 and the 175th Lotto jackpot to be won in Cork in the 31-year history of the game.

These lucky Rebel County jackpot winners have shared more than €263 million between them, since 1988.

A National Lottery spokesperson said:“We can confirm that we have been contacted this morning by the lucky ticketholder and arrangements are currently being made for the claim to be made when the winner is ready to collect their prize in the coming weeks.”

Meanwhile, tonight's Euromillions jackpot is set to hit a staggering €190m.

The spokesperson continued: “The current EuroMillions jackpot has been rolling since July 23 and tonight’s draw will be subject to a maximum jackpot cap.

"In the history of the game, this is only the fourth time that the jackpot will reach the cap of €190 million.

"Let’s hope we will be celebrating an Irish winner of this mega jackpot which would be a record National Lottery prize won in Ireland.”
