A punter in Dublin pulled off a staggering EuroMillions bet this weekend turning €1 into a dreamy €33,001.
The anonymous punter struck the modest bet in a BoyleSports shop in the capital on Friday taking on odds of 33,000/1 for four numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw last night.
The big odds soon began to shrink when the lucky numbers 14, 20, 25 and 42 all rolled out leading to the mammoth payout.
Spokesman for BoyleSports Lawrence Lyons said: "It’s incredible just how far €1 can go and fair play to our Dublin customer who proved the big wins can still be scooped even from tiny stakes. We admire their ambition and wish them good luck with their winnings."
