Lottie Ryan admitted she was emotional recording the last ever Breakfast Republic show on 2FM yesterday.
However, despite her slot being axed, she revealed she won’t be stepping away from the station any time soon.
Speaking to Blathnaid Treacy on 2FM yesterday, Lottie said: “I’m so emotional. It’s just been the most incredible couple of years and you make such good friends with these people.
“I see my team with breakfast more than I see my husband so it is going to take a while to get used to not seeing them every morning but I will get used to taking a lie-in.”

When asked how she was able to deliver her entertainment bulletin so calmly minutes after she bid her final farewell to the team, she said: “I’ll tell you why, because the entertainment news goes on.
“I’m very excited for the next chapter of things so I was never going to miss it.
“I’m not going anywhere. So beginning in June, we are going to be starting a brand new schedule here on 2FM which I’m going to be all over.
“And the entertaining news is going to be across the whole day so I can’t wait, I’m excited.”
