'Lots of police vans' descend on quiet road in Patchway

'Lots of police vans' descended on a quiet road in South Gloucestershire today (July 2) during a suspected drugs raid.

Residents took to social media saying they'd spotted 'lots of police vans, forensic van and police tape' on Durban Road throughout the day.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called this afternoon (July 2) to reports of suspected drug offence(s) in Patchway.

"Enquiries are continuing."

A witness, who wished not to be named, told Bristol Live: "Police left around 8:30pm. But they were here for most of the day.
