Lothians MSP Neil Findlay lashes out at ‘arse’ who left dog poo in beauty spot

A Lothians MSP has not minced his words as he lashed out at the "arse" who left dog poo in a local beauty spot.

Neil Findlay took to social media today to slam the "disgraceful" owners who left the bag of poop in the countryside.

He said: "What the f&£k do these idiots think they are doing - some of the finest scenery and countryside in the world and some arse picks up their dug s**** and leaves the bag of it lying - Grrrrr."

"It’s disgusting, lazy and downright ignorant," said one person in response.

Another said: "I would rather people used a stick to 'flick' the waste into the undergrowth than leave these bags lying around."

"Happens everywhere. I really don’t see the sense in bagging it just to leave it in the ground - do they think someone comes round every day and clears away all the bags?

"Far better not to pick up at all - at least it’s mostly biodegradable, unlike the plastic," added another.

It comes amid growing frustration as people have been enjoying the great outdoors more often during the coronavirus lockdown - but not cleaning up after themselves.

Edinburgh teens were recently slammed for holding a "massive party" on Craiglockhart Hill, despite the gathering ban, with similar parties at the Meadows, Blackford Hill and Bruntsfield Links.

Litter being left behind after these impromptu parties is often one of the focal points of local residents' anger, with one group leaving Ravelston Woods covered in cans and broken glass, turning it into a "dumping ground".
