Lothian buses make desperate appeal to owner after dog jumps on number 35

Lothian buses have made a desperate online appeal to reunite an adorable dog with its owner after it decided to jump on a bus and go for a solo adventure.

The Lothian Buses Twitter page shared a picture of a dog, which is brown in colour, and took a ride on a number 35 bus this morning in the Fountainbridge area of Edinburgh.

It is hoped the dog can be reunited with its owner after the "poor soul" was handed into Westend Police Station to be looked after by staff.

Lothian buses tweeted: "This lovely little dog jumped on our service 35 this morning at Fountainbridge.

"We've delivered the dog to the Westend Police Station and staff are currently taking care of the poor wee soul until they can be reunited with their owner.

"Please share far and wide! #LostDog."

You can message Lothian Buses on Twitter here if you know who the dog belongs to or contact the police on 101.
