Lost: what next?

If you set the Sky Plus or video for record last night, then look away now, because we are all overexcited about the end of Lost. And how happy were we when Channel 4 told us that series two will arrive in the spring? Before that final double bill, we posed a series of questions that needed answering:

What is the monster? What about the polar bear? What do the numbers mean? What happened to Rose? Is Rousseau mad, bad or just dangerous to know? Why doesn't Kate choose between Jack and Sawyer? What's in the hatch? Why is Kate on the run? What is the significance of the toy plane?

Having now seen the series one finale we have some more questions to pose: Did the Others always want Walt? Where did they get the fuel for a boat from? Indeed, where did they get the boat from? Will Charlie go back on the smack? And, the obvious one, what's down that ladder?

And we are sure that you will have even more questions, and hopefully a few answers, so please let us know what you are thinking:
