Lost star Jorge Garcia seen for first time in two years with bushy beard and grey hair

Lost star Jorge Garcia has been pictured out in public for the first time in over two years.

The American actor, 47, looked completely unrecognisable sporting a bushy beard and grey hair as he ran errands in Los Angeles.

The actor - who found fame playing lottery winner Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes in highly hit series Lost - hasn’t been photographed out in public since he left CBS’ Hawaii Five-O in 2019.

After previously losing more than 100lbs due to health concerns, the actor looks totally different since lockdown.

He's not been seen in public since leaving show Hawaii Five-0 back in 2019, where he appeared to be noticeably slimmer.

His last red carpet appearance was in 2018 when he celebrated the 50th anniversary of the series and the premiere of Magnum PI at Queen's Surf Beach in Hawaii.

The actor reportedly lost nearly 100lb (45kg) off his 400lb (181kg) frame at one stage over his career, thanks to a strict diet and workout plan after being told to overhaul his lifestyle by doctors.

Back in 2014, the National Enquirer reported that Jorge had been tipping the scales at 400lbs as doctors became extremely concerned for his health.

He began to expose himself to health problems such as Diabetes 2 and heart disease which could ultimately cause a heart attack.

The publication quoted a source close to the actor saying that his loved ones were "terrified" of him dying if he didn't shift his lifestyle.

"We're talking Type 2 diabetes or, worse, a heart attack," Jorge's friend told the publication at the time, adding: "No one wants to see that happen to him."

"Jorge is one of the nicest, gentlest souls you'd ever meet, but he just can't keep the pounds off," the source added.

Jorge met his wife Rebecca Birdsall on the set of CBS series Hawaii Five-0 when they were both actors on the show.

The pair tied the knot in 2019 after six years of dating.
