Lost dog causes a stir at Scots hospital after wandering in during coronavirus lockdown

A “cheeky” lost dog found it’s way into the Queen Elizabeth Hospital during the coronavirus lockdown.

Little ‘Redgie’ was luckily spotted by staff at the Glasgow hospital who came to his assistance – and provided him with some digestive biscuits.

Ambulance worker Amy Baldock took to Facebook to share a picture of the pup stating: “We’ve found this cheeky monkey wandering like a rocket at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

“We think he’s called Redgie. Police have been notified and are coming for him, he’s been on the digestive biscuits.

“He’s well looked after, his owners must be so worried.”

Amy told our sister title Glasgow Live: “He wandered into the ambulance bays and was causing mayhem in the waiting area! He's a mental wee thing.

"We give him a bandage lead, a sick bowl for water and a couple of left over digestive biscuits.

"His collar lights were on so it makes me wonder if he has been out all night. He's really friendly and well looked after so I imagine his family are so worried."

A Police appeal has now been launched to find Redgie’s owners.
