Lost Boy fans praise James Bulger's 'warrior' mum Denise Fergus

Lost Boy viewers praised James Bulger's mum Denise Fergus in their droves tonight for her strength and courage.

Tonight the documentary focused on how Robert Thompson and Jon Venables were charged and convicted for James' murder.

Former detectives and lawyers spoke about the horrific injuries the two ten-year-old boys inflicted on James who was just two when he was killed.

The documentary also featured scenes from James' funeral which saw hundreds of people line the streets and fill the church to say goodbye to the toddler.

People who were interviewed about the funeral said how strong Denise was throughout and how she managed to hold herself together.

The programme also saw how Denise came to Preston Crown Court in the final stages of the trial to hear the sentence that the boys were given.

And viewers were filled with praise for the brave mum, who had been through something unimaginable.
