Tottenham's Champions League exploits last season was the stuff of dreams for supporters.
Despite not being given a realistic hope of winning the competition, the north London side almost went all of the way as they progressed to the final in Madrid.
Unfortunately, things didn't go to plan against Liverpool in the showpiece event but that doesn't take anything away from what the club achieved.
Few expected Mauricio Pochettino's side to progress that far, and with this season's competition getting underway, some will be backing Spurs to go one step further.
However speaking to France Football, Hugo Lloris has played down Tottenham's hopes of winning the competition, instead choosing to emphasise just how big an achievement it was for them to reach the final.
He said: "With humility and honesty, it's worth noting that Tottenham does not have this club profile to claim to win the Champions League every year.
"So, we can not speak of this defeat as a failure. Far from it. It's a big win for the club, a big step forward. "
Getting to the final was massive for the club, and Lloris said that the next target has to be winning silverware.
He said: "The thing that has to change us is to win a major trophy.
"We had this opportunity in the Champions League, we were also not far in the championship a few years ago. But there is regularity, the club is competitive.
"I can tell the difference between the state of the club the day I arrived and today. It has nothing to do. The club has evolved at incredible speed."
