Los Angeles Lakers start season at Clippers: Full 2019-20 schedule

The Los Angeles Lakers will be one of two opening night games on October 22 but after that, their schedule for the remainder of the first week of the season appears to be considerably easier than last year’s.

After starting last season on the road at Portland before opening their home slate at home against Houston and then against the Spurs, the Lakers will face the Clippers and Jazz in their first two games before facing off against some of the league’s worst teams in Charlotte and Memphis.

Among the most notable games on the schedule are Anthony Davis’ return to New Orleans on Nov. 27 and the return of the Lakers former young core with the Pelicans visiting L.A. on Jan. 3. The Lakers will also be on national television a league-high 31 times.

The Lakers of course will also be heavily involved in the NBA’s other marquee national television dates such as Christmas Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Also in a change to help East Coast basketball lovers watch more basketball, the NBA has moved national TV start times up a half an hour.
