Lorry, van and two cars crash causing major road closure

Four vehicles were involved in a crash this morning.

Speke Boulevard, was closed at around 8.45am on Tuesday, July 19, after the crash on the Liverpool bound road. Merseyside police confirmed that a lorry, van and two cars were involved in the incident.

The busy road was blocked from A562 Higher Road (Halewood) to Woodend Avenue (Speke), while emergency services dealt with the crash. Police officers at the scene say that the vehicles are in the process of being recovered and the road block should be cleared soon.

People travelling in the vehicles are reported to have suffered "slight injuries" in the crash. A spokesperson for the force said: "[The crash] was reported 8.45am on Speke Boulevard Liverpool bound. Four vehicles, one lorry, a van and two cars, only slight injuries reported and vehicles in the process of being recovered so should be clear soon."
