Lorry stuck after ramming into Dublin's 'most battered bridge' AGAIN

An unlucky lorry driver got the shock of his life after ramming into a bridge in Dublin earlier today.

The incident happened under the bridge in Mulhuddart which is infamous for unfortunate traffic mishaps much like this one.

The poor driver was probably left embarrassed after a towing truck had to be called to pry it free from the grasps of the notorious bridge on Blakestown Road.

Maybe the driver would have been a bit more careful if they followed Ireland’s Most Battered Bridge on Facebook who posted pictures of the mishap.

The owner of Ireland’s Most Battered Bridge page on Facebook said it was set up “as a public awareness campaign to motorists to slow down while passing through Mulhuddart village”.

Speaking about the incident, they said: "Another one bites the dust, The Shanty Bridge strikes again!"

This isn't the first time an unlucky vehicle has gotten stuck under the bridge.

A truck was left in tatters after driving straight into it in May of this year.

In February a truck driver was left red faced after getting stuck under the bridge and held up traffic for half an hour while they tried to get it moving again.

Last year ten school children had to be taken to hospital this morning after the bus they were travelling in rammed into the Mulhuddart bridge.

The group of second and third year students from Blakestown Community School in Mulhuddart were on an educational trip to a local mosque when the accident happened.
