Lorry plunges into Bristol's floating harbour

A lorry has plunged into the water at Bristol’s Floating Harbour this morning (Thursday, October 21).

Photos of the large HGV show the front still on the raised walkway, while the bottom half is submerged in the water.

It is located on the edge of Millenium Square, just alone from the V-Shed Wetherspoons pub, on the corner by the Revolucion de Cuba restaurant.

Avon Fire and Rescue are on the scene to assist with the incident - they have been contacted for further information.

Filming was known to have been taking place in the area, although whether the lorry is involved in that is unconfirmed.

It's been confirmed that no one was injured during today's incident.

The Sergeant said the driver is shaken up but not injured
