Lorry driver was so drunk he fell out of his cab onto motorway

A lorry driver was so intoxicated he fell out his cab and onto the motorway, a court heard.

Traffic stopped on the busy road as motorists rushed to the aid of the man thinking he'd had a heart attack.

Police and paramedics rushed to the M6 in Warwickshire on the night of Saturday, January 11 to discover he hadn't suffered a heart attack but was severely drunk.

Pawel Kwik fell out his lorry after he consumed more than three times the drink drive limit.

The 31-year-old appeared before magistrates in Leamington Spa on Monday (January 13) and pleaded guilty to drink-driving, the Birmingham Mail reports.

He was disqualified for 22 months, fined £416 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and a £41 victim surcharge.

The court heard how the incident happened on the northbound carriageway of the M6 at Junction 2 at 7.15pm on Saturday.

At first, it was thought Kwik was suffering a cardiac arrest, having fallen out of his cab and ending up in lane one of the carriageway.
