Jaw-dropping footage has been released showing a lorry driver travelling the wrong way down a slip road onto a motorway - before doing a U-turn.
The footage released by Staffordshire Police shows the lorry doing the manoeuvre during rush hour and then continuing the wrong way down the road.
It then does another U-turn from the exit slip to get back onto the M6.
The incident happened shortly before 8am on January 21.
The lorry driver in the footage has been jailed for six months and disqualified from driving for 15 months.
Police did not name the driver and said no one was injured.

A video post on the force's Facebook page read: "Imagine this on your morning commute.
"The driver of this lorry was jailed for six months and disqualified from driving for 15 months after he was caught driving dangerously on the M6 Toll last month.

"Thankfully, no-one was injured."
On January 10, another lorry driver John Taylor, from Doncaster, drove onto the wrong side of the M18 after refusing to stop for police and reversing into a police car.
He was sentenced to 28 months in prison for dangerous driving, breaching a suspended sentence and assaulting police officers.
In August 2018, a 42-year-old mum was killed in a head-on crash after doing a U-turn and driving the wrong way down the M4 while three times over the drink-drive limit, an inquest was told.
