Lorry driver issued six penalty points after crash at Severn Beach

A lorry driver was issued with six penalty points after a crash in Severn Beach.

The crash, involving a lorry and a car, happened just after 6pm yesterday on the A403 Severn Road.

The occupant of the car suffered minor injuries.

Police issued this tweet about the crash at Severn Beach (Twitter)

The driver of the HGV was issued with six points for driiving without due care and attention.

Avon and Somerset Police Road Safety Unit posted on its Twitter feed: “We dealt with a 2 vehicle RTC in #SevernBeach last night.

“Thankfully the occupant of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

“The driver of the HGV has been dealt with for driving without due care and attention.”

A police spokesman confirmed: "The driver of the HGV was given six penalty points for driving without due care and attention."
