A lorry has crashed into a railway bridge in Glasgow’s southside – with all trains now suspended causing chaos for travellers.

ScotRail announced the incident saying the lorry had collided with the bridge at Muirend station.

All services between Glasgow Central and Neilston are affected as a result.

Engineers made their way to the scene around 9am this morning.

ScotRail said: “Due to a lorry colliding with a bridge at Muirend all lines are closed, this will affect services between Glasgow Central and Neilston. Staff and engineer are enroute.”
