A busy Scots road has been closed in Ayrshire due to a lorry crash as drivers experience long delays.
Traffic Scotland have issued a warning to motorists after the A77 was shut in both directions at Glenapp Castle, just south of Ballantrae.
The crash has been described by police as serious however there is no detail of injuries at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a serious crash involving a lorry on the A77 near Glenapp Castle, Ballantrae, around 11.50am on Tuesday 24 August.
"Officers are at the scene and the road has been closed in both directions."
