Lorry bashes into Rangers star's car before fleeing scene as witness leaves clue

A Rangers star has been searching for a random witness who left a note after a lorry bashed into her car before fleeing the scene.

Megan Bell took to social media to share pics of the damage left to her Audi, which had been parked on Wilton Street in the west end of Glasgow when the incident happened.

Megan had been training with the Gers and was devastated to return to see someone had smashed into her vehicle.

A helpful witness left a note (Twitter)

The culprit fled the scene, but a helpful witness left a note explaining they had seeing the crash happen and left a number plate for her to chase up with police.

However, they didn't leave any of their own contact details - and on Wednesday, Megan appealed for help in tracing the good samaritan.

She said on Twitter: "Two weeks ago I came home from training to my car like this in West End of Glasgow in Wilton Street.

"This note was left with no name or contact details & if I could find out who left this note it would be reallyyyyyy helpful.

"Please retweet this, thankyou."

Megan's post quickly racked up thousands of shares, comments and likes in a few hours.

And she later updated her followers, adding: "On Twitter 30 minutes & sorted.

"Power of social media, thanks everyone for retweeting."
