Lorraine viewers slam 'heart attack' Joss Stone food segment

Lorraine viewers slammed Joss Stone's cooking segement for its unusual ingredients and methods.

Musician Jess Stone took over Lorraine's cooking segment today where she whipped up a family favourite of hers. She said she was excited to flex her cooking skills whilst Lorraine "couldn't wait" to see how it turned out.

Jess said she was going to be making an "old school mac and cheese" as she prepared her ingredients. Despite her best intentions in cooking up a storm, the dish was blasted online for its unusual ingredients and methods.

Kicking things off with an entire block of butter, she threw it into the pan along with milk and cheese. She then added a range of spices before leaving the pasta to boil. Jess moved on to her side dish - baked beans, yellow mustard, four cups of sugar, barbeque sauce and chopped onions.

Eventually combining the two finished dishes in one mouthful, she said it was "delicious." Viewers watching the segment were left baffled by her methods and overly heavy ingredients as they called the meal "a heart attack."

One viewer said: "WHY have I just watched Joss Stone whip up a heart attack on a plate." Another added: "Joss stone, how is that 'MAC' and cheese? That is pasta shells and cheese? The meal you made was not 'Soul Food' it was more 'British Student Throwing Together The Last of What They Had in The Cupboard Food'."

A third viewer said: "Ew what on earth is she making with those beans? Mustard? Yuck." A final comment added: "Four cups of brown sugar?!"

Lorraine said she couldn't wait to try the dish Joss "cooks up all the time."
