Lorraine viewers were quick to switch off on Tuesday morning as Ranvir Singh stood in for the usual host.
Lorraine Kelly is currently enjoying her summer break, and has various female presenters covering for her.
This week, 44-year-old Ranvir is in the hot seat - but fans of the ITV breakfast show aren't overly impressed.
The latest instalment of Lorraine saw England footballer Beth Mead invited into the studio to reflect on the Lioness' epic win in the UEFA Women's EURO 2022 championship over the weekend.
As the interview began, Ranvir told the 27-year-old footballer: "How are you? I mean you look a bit knackered to be fair..."
Beth replied sarcastically: "Oh thank you!" as Ranvir added: "Your whole body has just like gone!"
"Yeah, it's relaxed, it's relaxed now," Beth then said as Ranvir asked her how much sleep she's actually had since Sunday's win.
"Not a lot! But yeah, enjoyed it so much... every minute since that final," Beth replied.
Ranvir continued: "Has your brain been able to switch off yet? Has your brain just been buzzzzzzz since that moment?"
Beth responded: "It has, but I don't even think it's sunk in yet. A lot of the girls we still can't believe we've gone and won it."
"The way you approached each game was with such calm conviction, wasn't it?" Ranvir then said as Beth credited the team's manager Serena Wiegman.
Despite the celebratory theme of the interview, many found the chat 'cringe' and took to Twitter to comment.
One viewer posted: "Ranvir is a useless presenter patronising this interview is awful sooo cringe #lorraine."
Another person tweeted: "Ranvir has made me turn over...f*cking hell she is annoying. #lorraine."
A third person asked: "Can't be the only one that finds Ravir's interview technique cringe and awkward? #Lorraine"
And a fourth viewer admitted: "I have to turn over to another channel on the weeks that Ranvir covers for Lorraine. She is so annoying with her over the top presenting, contrived energy and constant interrupting when guests are talking. Hopefully not for much longer. Please come back Lorraine #Lorraine."
Another viewer asked: "Who is this god awful host? Let her get a word in ffs #lorraine."
Someone else posted: "What’s thing to say to #bethmead - she doesn’t look shattered she looks lovely! What poor interviewing #lorraine (sic)."
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and ITV Hub.
