Lorraine viewers blast 'hysterical' Christine Lampard after 'cringy' Iain Stirling interview

Christine Lampard found Iain Stirling really funny during her Lorraine interview with him today.

So much so that exasperated viewers questioned what on earth was going on.

The host, who is standing in for Lorraine Kelly, struggled to keep herself composed as she listened to the Love Island narrator answering her giggling questions.

Iain, who has just got back from Mallorca where the ITV dating show is filmed, spoke about a range of bizarre topics, including when someone stole his shoes following a yoga session.

As he recalled the moment he was left sans footwear in the streets of London, Christine couldn’t control herself.

Love Island fans will know that Iain is a funny guy - but some viewers believed that today, a ‘hysterical’ Christine went a bit too far.

They aired their frustration on Twitter.

One posted: “I'm finding this #lorraine interview between Christine and Ian so cringy. He's not that funny, and she is laughing way to over the top.”

A second said: “Is Christine drunk?”

“I don't often watch as I'm at work. Is Christine always constantly In hysterics over nothing or is it just me???” said another.

Referencing Christine’s maiden name, another viewer posted: “I thought people were exaggerating about Bleakley’s faux hysterics, but they weren’t, were they.”

Some weren’t quite so diplomatic with their criticism.

One ranted: “F*cking pack it in with the fake laughter Christine, it’s annoying now ffs.”

A second said: “Is this woman just laughing at every single word?”

A third posted: “What the f*ck are you laughing at Christine?”

Lorraine airs weekdays from 8.30am on ITV.
