Lorraine's interview with Sir Rod Stewart descends into chaos as music legend is interrupted by fashion feature

Music legend Sir Rod Stewart's interview on the ITV chat show Lorraine ended up in chaos when the singer was distracted by a fashion feature waiting in the wings.

As he chatted with host Lorraine Kelly the singing superstar couldn't help notice that the show's fashion guru Mark Heyes was poised ready for his segment in the same studio.

A distracted Sir Rod stopped the interview twice to reassure Mark that his chat would be over soon.

"We'll be with you in a minute guys, don't worry," he said jokingly.

Presenter Lorraine, who chatted to Sir Rod about his music career and touring, encouraged the 74-year-old to carry on.

"They've just sneaked in," she reassured.

When the interview ended, Rod called out to Mark cheekily: "Right, your turn!"

It turns out Mark was waiting to pay tribute to Sir Rod with a fashion feature inspired by the Maggie May hitmaker with plenty of tartan.

"He's a very stylish man. All his life, he's gone for it," he told Lorraine.
