Lorraine Kelly upsets viewers as she slates Golden Globes outfits

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly upset viewers by slating some of the stars' outfits worn at the Golden Globes.

Lorraine gave her opinion on the red carpet fashions worn by the A-listers at the awards in Los Angeles, and viewers were shocked.

One of the outfits Lorraine, 60, shunned on her ITV morning chat show was the gown worn by The Crown star Olivia Colman.

Commenting on Olivia's red gown with puffed sleeves she told style segment host Mark Heyes that she wasn't impressed.

"Personally I don't really like this," she said.

And Mark added that he thought it looked like "theatre curtains."

However, Lorraine did say the award-winning actress was "gorgeous".

Jennifer Lopez's large bow gown also got the thumbs-down with Lorraine saying "I really don't like that" and adding that it was "dwarfing" her "beautiful body."

The worst criticism came for  Gwyneth Paltrow .

"Oh my ... what the heck is going on there?" she gasped.

"I think in Scotland we would call that jobby brown," said Mark.

Lorraine jokingly scolded him but added it was "after 9am" when he asked if he could get away with saying that.

After the Golden Globes chat, Lorraine moved on to interview EastEnders and The Masked Singer star Patsy Palmer.

"#lorraine talking to Patsy about positivity and being kinder to each other," said one viewer on Twitter,

"She’s just sat there and slated peoples’ clothes at Golden Globes!!"

Another viewer asked: "Why do people find it necessary to 'rate' people's outfits?

"They wore them because they liked them and felt good in them.

"You wouldn't walk up to someone in the street and mock their looks so why is this ok?"

And another wrote: "I can’t believe we live in a day and age where there are still segments on the TV criticising people for what they wore at awards shows."
