Lorraine Kelly revealed she had never eaten an iconic Scottish snack when her daughter Rosie offered a bite on Gogglebox.
The deep fried mars bar has become somewhat of a traditional food here in Scotland's chip shops and Rosie had bought one for them both to try on Friday's Gogglebox.
Holding a big chippy box, Lorraine and Rosie halved the battered mars bar and tucked in.
"It's still hot," Rosie mentioned.
Taking a bit bite, Lorraine said: "Oh my God, how have I not had one before? I thought it was just a myth!"
"I can feel my jeans getting tighter," Rosie said with a mouthful of mars bar.
"Oh I've got up a dress size, just with that bite," Lorraine joked.
But Gogglebox fans were shocked that the Scottish chat show host had never tried a battered mars bar before.
I’m still shooketh that you had never had a battered Mars bar! M ind you I only had my first about a year ago," one wrote adding the love heart emoji.
Another tweeted Lorraine explaining how she went one step further: " I cannot believe you have never had a deep-fried Mars bar ....turn your Scottish passport over Lorraine! I did a cute thing for a hen night, got mini mars, bounty, Snickers and deep fried them, served with a whipped whiskey cream and fudge sauce for dipping... It went down well x"
A stunned fan wrote: " @reallorraine is Scottish.... And never bloody had a deep fried Mars bar ?!?!? Whitt!!!"
Lorraine has joined the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox with her daughter Rosie and little sausage dog, Ruby for its third season.
