Lorraine Kelly to guest judge on series two of RuPaul's Drag Race UK

Lorraine Kelly has been announced as a guest judge on the new series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

The Scots TV presenter will return to the hit BBC Three show when its second series airs on Thursday, January 14.

It will be the second time the 61-year-old has featured on the show after she appeared as a celebrity guest on Snatch Game in season one.

She even gave drag a go last year, donning her 'Morning Gloria' alter ego for a feature in Attitude Magazine.

This time, Lorraine will join the judging panel alongside Mama Ru, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr for one episode.

Actresses Liz Hurley and Sheridan Smith, musician MNEK and model Jourdan Dunn will also be making special appearances on the show.

Speaking after the announcement, Lorraine wrote on Instagram : “Start your engines! That’s right! I’m ‘ru-turning’ to @dragraceukbbc as a guest judge. Can’t wait.”

The news came just a day after the BBC revealed details of the 12 queens set to take part in the series starting next month.

Included in the line up are two Scottish queens, who will be battling it out to take the crown of the UK's Next Drag Superstar.

Lawrence Chaney, from Glasgow and Ellie Diamond, from Dundee, will be the first ever queens to represent Scotland inside the famous Werk Room.

The show will air on BBC iPlayer at 7pm on January 14, 2021.
