Lorraine Kelly taunts England-mad TV colleagues over upcoming Euro showdown

Lorraine Kelly taunted breakfast host Ben Shephard over a potential Scotland win in the upcoming Euro 2020 football championship.

The ITV host might spend most of her time down South but she still is supporting Scotland rather than England when it comes to the football.

And the Gorbals born 61-year-old presenter couldn't resist having a little jab at football mad Ben Shephard who will be supporting England during the event.

During a handover to her show from Good Morning Britain, Lorraine told Ben: "If we win you will never hear the end of it."

An excited Lorraine admitted she couldn't wait to attend at least one of the matches in the flesh.

She added: "Actually going to a match. I've not been for a year and a half so it's exciting either way."

Lorraine's comments came just before she spoke for the first time about her much publicised tax battle over a whopping £1.2 million tax bill form HMRC.

Speaking to The Times, Lorraine said: "When we took the decision to take HMRC to court, it was a horrible, draining experience."

"But they’d [HMRC] made a mistake.

"They hadn’t taken into account all the taxes we had actually paid. We had a strong case and we won."
