Lorraine Kelly spots 'omen' in sky ahead of Scotland's first Euro 2020 game

Lorraine Kelly spotted an 'omen' ahead of Scotland's first match in the Euro 2020 today.

The Scots presenter, 61, took to social media after noticing what appeared to be a Saltire flag in the sky as Scotland gears up for Monday afternoon's clash with Czech Republic.

The Glasgow -born ITV star spotted the Scotland flag made by two plane contrails criss-crossing on the blue sky while on a morning dog walk - and branded it an 'omen'.

"Saw this on my walk with Angus," Lorraine wrote.

"Could it be an omen?" Come on Scotland!!" she exclaimed, adding a flag of Scotland emoji.

Lorraine is an avid Dundee United supporter and is often a common sight at games, being an honorary club patron.

The presenter even went on her first date with husband Steve Smith to a Dundee United vs Hearts clash.

It comes after Lorraine Kelly called for a national holiday for Scotland to watch the first Euros 2020 game.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Lorraine she said: "Do you know what I think we actually have got a good chance.

"On paper, obviously the team is not as strong maybe as others but they play really, really well together."

Lorraine continued: "And actually just watching that there just now I'm starting to get those nerves that are building up like the washing machine in your stomach.

"I'm so looking forward to it but it's weird because the first match is on Monday afternoon.

"I think we should just declare a national holiday and then everyone can watch it in the afternoon, all the wee kids at school and everybody at their work.

"I think most people will be doing that, and then the big game on Friday."
