Lorraine Kelly sent home from ITV show before going live as she's replaced

Lorraine Kelly has been sent home from her own show before even going live on air. The TV presenter had headed to the ITV studios on Wednesday morning (February 22) as she prepared to host the latest edition of her self-titled programme.

However, Lorraine was forced to leave after falling ill. The Scottish TV star confirmed she will not be on her show this morning, with Good Morning Britain hosts Ed Balls and Kate Garraway also sharing the news on the latest edition of the ITV new programme after she failed to show up for their usual mid-show crossover.

They confirmed that in what they believe to be a first for Lorraine, she was forced off her own programme after "suddenly being attacked" by an unknown illness with Ranvir Singh set to replace her.

As they chatted about Lorraine, Kate joked it was a "good job" Ranvir got herself out of bed - or there wouldn't have been a show. Taking to Twitter, Lorraine confirmed she was unwell with a "hideous" bug and was gutted to miss interviewing Adam Lambert.

"When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you are suddenly attacked by a hideous bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT!" she typed on social media.

She then added: "Beyond disappointed but imagine if I had infected him !!!!!!" before the well wishes came flooding in. Singer and former Daybreak co-star Aled Jones said: "Get well soon lovely."
