Lorraine Kelly's savage reply to Scots fan who complained about show's clock

Lorraine Kelly hilariously put down a fellow Scot who suggested there was an error on her set of her telly show .

The 61-year-old Glasgow -born presenter was applauded by fans after Bernard Walsh wrote to her on Twitter and told her that the time was wrong on her studio clock.

Bernard, who goes under the name Ben on his Twitter account, wrote to Lorraine: "Your clock is wrong on the programme!!!!!"

What Bernard had failed to realise was that he was watching the show on replay - one hour after it was aired.

Lorraine realised his error immediately and hit back: "I think you may find you are watching ITV plus one Ben x."

Her speedy and to the point response was applauded by her viewers who told her she was 'savage'.

One said: "Actually spat out my coffee laughing."

Another added: "No way this made my day thank you Ben."

Someone else observed: "Five exclamation marks, the sure sign of an insane mind. ~ Sir Terry Pratchett."

And another simply wrote 'Ded."

As for Bernard, he was completely mortified by his lack in judgement.

He told the Daily Record: "Mortified is not the word. I actually sent them another message to apologise."

"I was sitting there thinking surely Lorraine will sort this.

"All the timings were wrong to me, then I clicked on the telly to make sure I hadn't done something and noticed the STV plus one logo. I'm dying off. Rid neck."
