Lorraine Kelly's lovely gesture to care home workers who have been separated from their families

Lorraine Kelly made a lovely gesture to three care home workers who have been separated from their families during the pandemic.

On the extended version of Good Morning Britain, Lorraine introduced viewers to Jennifer, Susan and Elma who have been isolating away from their loved ones since the start of lockdown.

The ITV show treated the three women to a makeover by the programme's resident stylist Mark Hayes.

Lorraine said: "Can I just say, what you're doing is absolutely brilliant. The fact you've left your families, you're working in a care home and doing an incredible job.

"I hope these dresses will sort of cheer you up a little bit. It's the very least we can do and hopefully, when all of this is over the three of you will have to go out on the town whenever that is allowed."

Jennifer responded and said that the little makeover has 'made her feel like a women again'.

She said: "It makes me feel great. Being in lockdown is difficult and we have been in scrubs most of the days."

Lorraine airs from 9am as part of an extended Good Morning Britain on ITV.
