Lorraine Kelly's key Matt Hancock question wins praise from Good Morning Britain hosts

Good Morning Britain hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray were quick to congratulate Lorraine Kelly after she asked health secretary Matt Hancock a key awkward question.

Charlotte and Adil chatted to Lorraine today about what was coming up on her show and Charlotte was quick to congratulate her colleague on her grilling of the Health Secretary yesterday.

Lorraine had a lengthy interview with Mr Hancock yesterday and at the end of the interview she said: "And Mr Hancock the guys at GMB are very nice, you can chat to them too."

He replied: "I love ITV, it's great to join you."

Today Charlotte said to Lorraine: "I loved your comment to Matt Hancock yesterday, thanks for asking about us and he said he loved ITV so maybe he'll be back."

Adil said: "I love that Lorraine has these contacts, as soon as she leaves GMB and goes back to her show she gets the Health Secretary on."

Lorraine laughed it off and said: "I'm sure he will be back, he better be, I'll make sure."

Piers Morgan was also quick to comment on Mr Hancock's appearance on the show, while he was on holiday in the South of France.

Piers tweeted: "Awww, look who sneaked back onto ITV the moment I left the country... it’s our fearless Health Secretary."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
